Dog Odor and Urine Stain Removal Service
We’ll remove pet smells & stains from your carpet!
Dog Odor Removal from Carpets
ALL CLEAN!, LLC provides pet odor removal from deep within carpet fibers, even down to the sub-floor. Here’s what you need to know… When your pet urinates on your carpet, the pee often goes down into the backing, padding, and sub-floor, where a regular carpet cleaning just can not reach.
There are essentially three scenarios when considering pet odor removal. Let’s look at each one to find out which one is best for you. Here they are from least to most aggressive…
OPTION 1: REMOVE DOG SMELLS AND STAINS FROM YOUR CARPETS
No Need for Deodorizers - Least Expensive Method
Before we talk about methods and procedures that add additional cost, I’d like to first mention that if you have a “wet dog smell” or any other surface smell in your carpet such as dog vomit or light pee stains, you do NOT need to spend extra money on deodorization for dog odor removal.
Many companies try to upsell deodorizers. Don’t let them fool you into spending more money than you need to spend. Any carpet cleaning company with good equipment can easily get dog smell out of carpet without having to add expensive chemicals. This is what you’ll get with ALL CLEAN! – a deep down thorough carpet cleaning that automatically removes surface pet odors from carpet fibers without additional cost. Our high heat, high water volume, and high suction power is quite sufficient. No extra chemicals required to fix carpets that smell like dog!
Oh, and if you’d like us to remove any dog pee stains or pet vomit stains from your carpet, we’ll do that for you for no extra charge as well. After we extract, we’ll apply a pet stain removal chemical. The pet stains will disappear within a few hours as the chemical does its job. The result: odors and stains are gone at no extra cost to you!
Cleaning and Deodorizing without the use of Deodorizing Chemicals.
In the images below, there were many pet stains in our customer’s carpet, but very little odor. So our customer chose to just have us do a very thorough cleaning of the carpet fibers. As you can see, the results were excellent, with no stains remaining.
On the other hand, if you would like us to get rid of a strong urine smell from pet pee that has seeped into your carpet’s backing, padding and sub-floor, you may want to consider Option #2.
Remove dog urine odors from under your carpet
OSR Treatment - Midlevel Expense
When your pet urinates in your carpet, and it’s more than just a “dribble”, the pee often goes down into the backing, padding, and possibly even the sub-floor. Not to worry! We can tackle this scenario as well.
The first thing to consider is that no matter who cleans your carpets, and no matter how powerful their equipment… neither the backing, the padding, nor the sub-floor will be cleaned or deodorized with just a standard carpet cleaning. Odors will still emanate from underneath your carpet unless the odors are properly addressed.
Identify Where the Contamination is with a Black Light
So the first thing we want to do is identify the contaminated areas by darkening the room and illuminating the pet urine stains with ultraviolet light. (See pictures below). Pee stains glow under UV lighting. Many customers are surprised to find that Fido was naughtier than they thought!
Treating the Odors Down to the Sub-Floor
We then mix a powdered chemical at about 200 degrees F. (a gallon or two at a time) and pour into your carpet, thoroughly saturating the contaminated areas down to the sub-floor.
As per the manufacturer, the chemical “combines the power of natural oxygen with the biological power of odor modification to destroy odorous materials without leaving strong artificial fragrances behind”. The product dwells for half an hour and during this time it will decontaminate the area and eliminate the pet urine odors and stains, all in one efficient process.
After the half hour is up, and the urine has been broken down by the chemical, we use a Water Claw (shown in the pictures below) to extract the dog pee along with the chemical, out into our cleaning van. After this pet odor removal process is complete, we then clean as normal to remove dirt and any residuals left behind. I believe this method to be the most effective way to get rid of dog pee smells in carpet offered by any carpet cleaning company.
Note: A phone conversation rather than email is preferred when enquiring about pet odor remediation.
OPTION 3: REPLACE THE CARPETS!
Oh yes, there is always a third option. If the amount of product needed to solve an extreme pet odor problem exceeds 5 gallons per average sized room, we typically recommend replacing the carpet. Both the moisture level and the cost (in my opinion) would exceed the benefit of having the pet contamination remediated. We don’t offer carpet installation, but we’ll always be upfront with you and give you our honest opinion.
Which Option is Best for You?
So, whether you’d like to just get dog smells out of carpet as with Option 1 or go with the more aggressive method of removing dog pee smells as with Option 2, or replace your carpets as with Option 3, we want what’s best for you and we’ll recommend accordingly. If you’d like, we’ll come to your home to analyze your situation at no charge. All we ask is that if you want us to remove the pet urine odor, you’d have us do it the same day while we’re there. Either way, whether we proceed or not with getting rid of the dog pee smell in your carpet is entirely your decision. We’re in business to serve YOU!

The odor removal and cleaning you did 2 years ago was great. The odor never came back.
ALL CLEAN!, LLC has done my carpets for five years and I always feel delighted with the results. I have wool Berber carpeting throughout my nearly 6,000 square foot home so there’s a lot to be done. Joe and his son are very meticulous and as kind as they are caring. I never worry when they do our carpets! They have also done an excellent job cleaning our bathrooms’ tile—they look new when they’re finished. And they have also cleaned sofas and chairs—the upholstery looks great. Joe and his son are a rare business in today’s society—they truly care about giving excellent service and work diligently to make things perfect. I could not be happier! Oh, yes, you might like to know that we have two BIG hairy dogs—a Newfoundland and a Bernese Mountain Dog— so you can imagine how much we appreciate what Joe and his son do cleaning for us!
Thanks Joe. The place looks and smells great.
The job you did for us was wonderful. I am enjoying my home again. Your cleaning methods completely got rid of the ammonia odor. I took your advice and got a bottle of biokleen bac-out. So far, so good!
My wool rug smells wonderful and is finally clean! I am so pleased with the service and the results. Your honest pricing and professionalism are refreshing. I am so pleased that I was not charged for urine deodorizing that I ended up not needing. Thank you!
Very knowledgeable about area rugs. The wool rugs are softer than when they were new & they smell great too! We definitely recommend & will use again! Thanks!
Joe, you achieved the impossible with our pet stained, smelly carpet. We thought for sure we would have to replace our family room carpeting. You arrived on time, did the job as promised and we are sitting in our family room without holding our noses! Thank you, thank you, thank you.
We were pleasantly surprised at the whole cleaning system and how efficient ALL CLEAN was. Our rugs look and smell like new! Thank you Guys!
The carpets look and smell great! As soon as I walked in the house I could tell the difference. Thank you for a wonderful product & excellent result.
Joe arrived on time to my condo. The following day I noticed a wet dog smell and called. He asked if I would be around that night, he came by and redid the entire job. He could have easily said to give it a week, but HE insisted he wanted to take care of it immediately to my satisfaction and not wait. I highly recommend All Clean!, it is the unforeseen issues that really make the level of customer service so important.
AMAZING JOB! THE CARPETS HAD SO MUCH DAMAGE DONE BY PAST RENTERS AND I NEVER EXPECTED THEM TO RECOVER. THEY LOOK, FEEL, AND SMELL LIKE NEW! A TOTAL TRANSFORMATION! THANK YOU JOE!
Dear Joe, Thanks for doing a great job last week. The laundry room lost that dog odor. No need to come back with that stronger stuff you talked about.
You are the best carpet cleaner I have had. As a “barefooter” and owner of 5 cats, the improved condition of my rugs after your service is near miraculous. Thank you for being so good at what you do!
Thank you for giving us tips on how to clean up after our pets. The family room looks great & the tile / grout look much cleaner.
I had a love seat with pillows that was given to me, very good condition but dirty with an odor. When Joe arrived he was very professional and explained the process. When he first started on the love seat I was AMAZED on how clean it was coming out. There was couple spots that I thought he would never get out, however he did, just amazing. He also used a deodorizer to eliminate the smell. I am very happy with the outcome of this project. I will definitely use All Clean again when I have my carpet done. Thanks Joe for outstanding job you did!!
Our carpets look great, smell clean & brighten up the rooms. We appreciate the good job you do, Joe. Thanks.
Frequently Asked Questions about Our Pet Odor Removal Services
Will my carpet be 100% odor free?
I like to be conservative and say that you will realize at least a 95% improvement in the odor level. For most people that is more than enough. I will advise though that if you are selling your home, the 5% that remains can be an issue for the buyer. The homeowner tends to become accustomed to the odor, making the 95% a huge improvement. Whereas the potential buyer may be able to smell subtle odors that the homeowner can not.
Is your deodorization chemical safe for my pet?
Yes, there are no toxicity concerns with our deodorization chemicals. There is a slight odor though during the cleaning process that is non-offensive and will dissipate shortly after the cleaning process.
Do you have a do-it-yourself way of removing pet urine odors and stains?
I, get asked this question quite often. Yes, I have a very effective way of removing both the stain and the smell as long as you get to it soon enough. Once the urine dries it is not as likely to remove the stain, but this process will still help with the smell.
First, I’d like to share with you what you should NOT do:
Don’t try to suck it up with a vacuum. This will damage standard type vacuums and cause wet-vacs to smell.
Don't use vinegar. Unless you like your house smelling like vinegar.
Don’t use chemicals such as Resolve, Spot Shot, etc… These chemicals are primarily designed for removing dirt, not pet odors.
Here’s what you should do to remove pet odors from urine, and the sooner you can do this after your pet has urinated, the better.
Step 1 - Blot as much as you can with a paper towel, towel, or any cloth will do. Better yet, if you have a small carpet cleaning devise like a Spot Bot to extract the urine, that may work even better.
Step 2 - Saturate the area with an enzyme-based chemical such as BioKleen’s Bac-Out or Nature’s Miracle. These products can be found on Amazon. Nature's Miracle can be found in most pet stores. The enzymes (actually non-pathogenic bacteria) will literally eat away at the urine like microscopic Pac Men.
Step 3 - Wet a white washcloth at least the size of the urine spot with luke-warm water. White is preferable as to prevent bleeding from the dyes of a colored towel.
Step 4 - Place the washcloth over the spot. This will keep the bacteria alive longer so they can do a better job eating away at the offending urine. And, the residual urine that was left in the carpet after blotting with the dry towel in step 1 will wick into the washcloth preventing a permanent stain in your carpet.
Step 5 - Leave the moistened towel in place for up to 10 hours. After that period of time, you may remove the towel and let the carpet dry on its own. The stain and the odor should be 100% gone once the carpet is dry IF you caught it in time!
Just remember, this pet odor removal procedure is good only if the urine stains are not too extensive. You don't want to wet your carpet with too much product at once as it needs to dry, preferably within a day. If you have a significant amount of urine in your carpet I recommend giving us a call so that we can come out and do Option 3, found above on this page.
